Our Family

Ralph and Lisa, Liz and Josh, Matthew and Liza with their two boys Joshua and Elijah, Drew and Lexy

Ralph and Lisa entered the ministry with CRU in 1992 after graduating from the University of North Carolina.  They had the privilege of beginning Student Venture, the high school ministry of CRU, in Jacksonville, Florida.  At the same time their family grew to four with the birth of Elizabeth and Matthew.

Ralph fell in love with the local church while in Jacksonville and felt called to pursue theological training.  So, Ralph and Lisa left Jacksonville and headed to Atlanta, Georgia in 1999 to work with the youth ministry of Perimeter Church so he could begin theological training in seminary.  Andrew was born shortly after they arrived in Atlanta, and within two years Ralph took a job as an assistant pastor with Alan Foster to help plant East Lanier Community Church in Buford, Georgia.

While at East Lanier, Ralph graduated from Reformed Theological Seminary (2006) as Lisa invested full-time in the kids.  Shortly after graduating, Ralph got the bug for church planting and left East Lanier to plant GracePointe Church in Forsyth County, Georgia.

After an amazing twelve years at GracePointe Church, Ralph and Lisa felt called to move to North Carolina and launch another church in Sanford, North Carolina, just south of the research triangle. Through God’s providence and grace, Christ Church Sanford was born. Christ Church Sanford is filled with devoted and winsome believers. Ralph left Christ Church Sanford in the hands of seven amazing officers and a devoted church body who will continue to build the church and reach their community.

Ralph and Lisa have been church planting since 2003, and they believe God is calling them to plant one more church. They have the privilege of partnering with Christ Community Church in Simpsonville, South Carolina to plant a new church in Fountain Inn, South Carolina.

Ralph and Lisa can’t wait for the challenges and opportunities that are before them in South Carolina. In addition to church planting, they will also be investing in their grown children and grandchildren.

Will you join us on this new journey?

We are asking God for three things.  We are asking God for people.  We are asking God for financial provision.  We are asking God for prayer warriors.  Thank you in advance for your partnership and prayers in this new adventure.

May God get the glory as we get the joy!
