Why Fountain Inn?

“Living in Fountain Inn combines the best of small-town life with modern conveniences. Fountain Inn residents take pride in their growing city while still preserving the Southern hospitality and charm that define South Carolina living. With its bustling downtown, fun parks, and continued development, moving to Fountain Inn SC could be one of the best places to start your next chapter.”

Since 2020, Fountain Inn has had a 30% growth rate which brings the population to 14,000 in 2025. This growth comes mostly from families as the median age of residents is currently 33 years old. There's also a growing population of young professions with a median household income hovering around $77,000, well over the national average. And let's not forget about our 55-year-olds and up who are looking for inexpensive and accessible retirement opportunities.
Fountain Inn itself has a diverse business community which is actively promoted by local organizations like the Fountain Inn Chamber of Commerce. With an attractive, small-town charm, there are many opportunities to live, work, and play as exhibited by the new Tesla plant, new High School, developing downtown and parks. With its proximity so close to Greenville and other major cities like Charlotte and Atlanta, Fountain Inn will continue to be a desirable location for new families and young professionals well into the future.
Although Fountain Inn boasts a strong and historically rooted Christian Identity, church planting will stimulate a fresh vision for the community and promote intentional engagement with unbelievers.
-
Only 22% of the population considers themselves “Evangelical Protestants”
-
39 % of the Greenville County population claims no religious affiliation at all
-
Like most southern towns, many of the mainline churches are plateaued or declining.
A Fountain Inn church plant could be a major player in the big picture for developing a gospel presence in both South and North Carolina.
